Abstract
A REPORT of the activities of the various area committees of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea has recently been published.* In small compass, it may be said to place before the publics of the different nations represented in the Council the aims and present achievements of marine investigation. Amongst a wealth of valuable and interesting material, the report of the Northern North Sea Committee deserves special mention, as recording a notable landmark in the history of fishery research.
