Atomic Weight of Fluorine

Abstract

WE find ourselves in complete agreement with Prof. Moles's remarks 1 on the values which can be obtained for the atomic weight of fluorine from the limiting densities of silicon fluoride. It appears to us, however, that when two theoretically calculated compressibility coefficients applied to the same data lead to values of the atomic weight of fluorine of 19.09 and 18.995 respectively, little significance can be attached to either of these values.
