Abstract
WE learn from the General Secretary, Prof. E. Moles, San Barnado 49, Madrid, that at a meeting of the Bureau of the International Union of Chemistry and the organising committee of the Ninth International Congress of Pure and Applied Chemistry held recently, it was decided to postpone the Congress indefinitely. The Congress was to have been at Madrid on April 3–10 this year, but it was felt that the present world-wide economic depression would limit seriously the usefulness of such a gathering. When conditions improve it is hoped to hold the Congress as originally arranged at Madrid. (Continued on p. 241.)
