Abstract
AN eloquent appreciation, from the pen of Prof. R. W. Hegner, of the life and work of Dr. Samuel Taylor Darling, of the League of Nations Malaria Commission, appears in a recent issue of Science. Dr. Darling, it will be remembered, was killed, with two other members of the Commission, on May 20 in a motor-car accident near Beirut in Syria. Heis described by Prof. Hegner as “one of the foremost American students of tropical medicine, especially in the field of medical zoology.”
