Abstract
CAMBRIDGE.—The professorship of biology will be vacant on January 1, 1910, by the resignation of Prof. Bateson as from that date. Candidates for the professorship should communicate with the Vice-Chancellor on or before Monday, January 10. The professor will receive a stipend of 700l. a year, with the usual deductions in case he holds a fellowship. It will be the duty of the professor to promote by teaching and research the knowledge of genetics.
