Abstract
SPECTRUM AND ORBIT OF δ ORIONIS.—Some very interesting results have been obtained by Dr. Hartmann in a research carried out at Potsdam on the spectrum and orbit of δ Orionis. The variability of the velocity in the line of sight—or, as Dr. Hartmann prefers to designate it, the “oscillation”—of this star was first discovered by Prof. Deslandres at Meudon, who determined the period as 1.92 days, and the orbit as very eccentric.
