Abstract
THE question of China has been so much to the front lately, that an article which appeared in one of the August numbers of the Revue Scientifique, on the knowledge of science possessed by the Chinese, seems very ά propos. It cannot be denied that the Chinese of the present day have very elementary ideas on any branch of science. This however, was not so formerly.
