Abstract
(II.)
The Properties of Helium. FROM what has preceded, it appears that up to now only three minerals are available as sources of helium, unless, indeed, very large quantities of samarskite and yttrotantalite are worked up. These three are clèveite, the uraninite investigated by Hillebrand, and bröggerite. And here we wish to express our indebtedness to Prof. Brögger for his great kindness in placing a large stock of broggerite at our disposal. It has furnished a large quantity of the helium which we have had in our hands.
