Abstract
IN the course of a prolonged series of spectroscopic observations on iron containing 1/10 carbon, 08 sulphur, 070 phosphorus, and about 4/10 per cent, of manganese, and based on the previous investigations of Mr. Lockyer on the iron spectrum at varying temperatures, I noted some results summarized as follows:—
