Abstract
A glass flask of about a litre capacity is partially filled with water and closed with a cork, through which a tube passes which terminates flush with the lower side of the cork. Above, the tube is bent twice at right angles, the other extremity of the tube dipping below the surface of water of ordinary temperature.
