what is the definition of Y linked inheritance?

By physical mapping of Y-chromosome it has been found that it contains a 'pseudo-autosomal region' similar to X-chrosome.
Male somatic cells contain both of these chromosomes paired in that region as homologous autosomes and this region allow crossing overs as if they are homologous autosomes during meiosis. Hence this region shows no 'sex-linkage'.
So all the characters that are expressed from regions other than this pseudoautosomal region, follow sex-linked inheritance.
In case of Y-chromosome it is termed 'Y-linked inheritance' and in case of X-chromosome it is termed 'X-linked knheritance'.
