Online Community for Genetic Educators: At the NIH
If you teach or even publicly lecture (and who doesn't right?), the new Community of Genetic Educator (CoGE) at the NIH Genome Institute may be worth looking at and joining up.
https://www.coge.nih.gov
It's free. Has over 500 educators as of November, 2008 and is growing steadily.
What's there? A dedicated copyright-free illustration database of biology and genetic things. An interactive site where you can search and find other educators or students in your part of the world, or interested in the things that power you.
And there are lecture live at various times, as well as links to the latest news, opportunities to review NIH products as they develop (from your home or office), and alot more.
Key: join, leave a photo of yourself, and recommend a website in the Resource Library.
Help someone else, find help yourself. CoGE.
