The Department of Cancer Biology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida and the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center seek an outstanding investigator in the area of cancer biology. Preference will be given to candidates whose research program is translational and complementary to our current research strengths. We currently have eight independent research laboratories with expertise in oncogenic signaling mechanisms, molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis, oxidative stress signaling in cancer, the tumor microenvironment in cancer development, and molecular mechanisms of invasion and metastasis. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research program is in lung cancer or breast cancer, two areas of emerging strength in our department. The ability of the candidate to work as a part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team is essential. Candidates for the position should have an established, NCI-funded research program that would augment our current research strengths and a demonstrable record of continuing research achievements.
