Each inspiration (dashed line) results in a decrease in intraesophageal pressure (P3-8) while inducing an increase in LES (sleeve–P2) and intragastric pressure (P1). Respiration is recorded with a pneumobelt (Resp). Each inspiration is seen as an upward deflection while expiration is a downward deflection.
