Dr Satish Kumar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the American Board of Oral Medicine, and the American Board of Orofacial Pain. He currently serves as Professor and Director of Periodontics at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, A.T. Still University, USA. Dr Kumar spends most of his time providing surgical care. When he is not taking care of patients, he is supervising students, lecturing, pursuing research, overseeing clinical operations and administration. Dr Kumar also served full-time as a faculty member at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California and at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He has published 75 original articles, reviews, critical summaries, and book chapters.

Carlos Fernando Mourão, USA

Professor Mourão is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA, USA. He has Brazilian certificates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Implant Dentistry and Oral Medicine, and is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCPS [Glasgow]). He has published over 150 articles after being reviewed by peers, and holds both a Master’s degree (2012) in Surgical Sciences from the School of Medicine at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, as well as a PhD in Dentistry (2017) from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), Brazil. Finally, he completed a post-doc in biotechnology at UFF (2017–2022) and a post-doc in OMFS at UFF (2018–2021).

Vaibhav Sahni, India

Dr Vaibhav Sahni holds dual specialisations in the fields of oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as periodontics. He also holds the MFDS RCPS (Glasg), MFDS RCSEd and the FDS RCS(Eng). His areas of expertise include, in addition to the general purview of oral health, maxillofacial injuries, point of care diagnostics, oral-systemic interactions, host-microbial interactions, the resolution of inflammation as well as computational systems as they relate to oral health and rehabilitation.
