Carbolite has introduced a radical new design flame-free heat source that offers dental professionals improved safety for prosthodontics modelling and fitting work. The heat source is capable of heating dental wax, modelling tools and rim formers as well as softening thermoplastic impression materials for registration trays.

Bringing SafeAir's flame-free heat source solution into the twenty-first century, the new SafeAir – Heatstream design provides a safer device for use by professionals who routinely wear rubber and plastic gloves during the styling and fitting of a patient's dentures.

The new Heatstream is totally silent in operation. The device heats modelling tools and wax much more rapidly owing to its low thermal mass construction. Most users of the older style SafeAir models tended to improvise some means of catching wax drips. With the introduction of the new Heatstream design Carbolite has incorporated a built-in drip tray featuring a removable stainless steel liner that makes the device much cleaner to use. The SafeAir – Heatstream is ideal for domiciliary visits; having fewer exposed hot surfaces and being able to cool to packing temperature much faster, it does not require carrying gas canisters or inflammable liquids in vehicles when visiting patients outside the clinic. The handy storage and transport case makes visits even easier.

The SafeAir – Heatstream is available from most major dental suppliers and direct from Carbolite.
