Abstract
Pollutants that are generated by human activities can harm ecosystems, taint natural resources and endanger health. The bioremediation of contaminated environments by microorganisms has therefore become an active area of research. This month's Genome Watch examines the genome sequences of four pollutant-degrading bacteria.
