Key Topics in Ophthalmology (second edition) is a revised and updated version of the initial text ‘Key Topics in Ophthalmology’. The book is aimed at ophthalmologists in training and aims to provide a useful adjunct to established textbooks. Working in an alphabetical manner each topic is presented in a standard problem- oriented format. It starts with an introduction and a brief background of the problem. This is followed by description of clinical features, treatment, complications and conclusions. A very useful and brief list of references ends each section. Photographs and diagrams have been excluded in this edition. The book thus provides a concise and up-to-date knowledge of the common problems encountered by trainee ophthalmologists in exami-nations and would therefore act as a very useful means of rapid revision. It could also act as a quick reference guide for a trainee ophthalmo-logist working in a busy casualty department.
