The News story of 30 August 2001 on mouse cDNA clones at Japan's Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (see Nature 412, 848; 2001) incorrectly stated that Dnaform, a spin-off from the institute, is making the clones available to other researchers free of charge. Dnaform is in fact selling the clones at cost to customers conducting not-for-profit research.
