New Zealand temperatures since 1300 AD

Abstract

THE period 1900–1935 was the coldest in New Zealand in recorded history. A climatic amelioration was experienced throughout the whole country between 1935 and 1970, with temperatures climbing by 1 °C over those years1. It is interesting to examine recent glacial behaviour in the light of these facts.
