Caribbean Climate during Pleistocene Ice Ages

Abstract

IT is a matter of controversy whether during Pleistocene ice ages non-glaciated intermediate and low latitude regions of the Earth were subjected to humid (pluvial)1,2 or to arid climates3–5. We present here data on Pleistocene climates of the Caribbean basin, which may help clarify this question.
