Abstract
A PULSATING X-ray source near the Crab Nebula and NP 0527 has been detected recently with a period of 3.8266 s1. This period is ∼2% greater than the period for NP 0527, the radio pulsar which is roughly 1° from the Crab. The observations were made by a balloon-borne proportional counter in the 30 to 100 keV region.
