Abstract
REPORTS on the infection of mammalian ova with viruses1–3 chiefly concern the exposure of ova to cytolytic viruses, such as those causing Mengo encephalitis or vesicular stomatitis. We have investigated the effect of two oncogenic viruses, which do not usually destroy infected somatic mouse cells, on unfertilized and fertilized mouse ova.
