Action of DFP on the Leucocyte and the Axon

Abstract

DFP and tri-alkyl phosphates can act on the leucocidin-treated leucocyte and on the axon as detergents. They stabilize hydrophobic surfaces separated by leucocidin in the leucocyte and by excitation in the axon. In the leucocyte the site of action is the potassium pump.
