Buried Channels of the Thames Estuary

Abstract

As part of a detailed and continuing study of the distribution and movements of the sediments in the area of the Thames Estuary shown in Fig. 1, we have tried to discover the thickness of the superficial deposits overlying the bedrock which is London clay for the greater part of the estuary.
