Implications of the Far-Infrared Background Measurements

Abstract

Some consequences of far-infrared background radiation originating beyond the solar system are derived. The most likely source, narrow emission features produced by our galaxy, can also lead to a flux from all other galaxies similar to that of the 2.7 K microwave background.
