Reconnaissance and Chemistry of the Lakes and Bogs of the Galapagos Islands

Abstract

In the summer of 1966 Dr Colinvaux led an expedition to the Galapagos Islands with the aim of constructing an environmental history of the archipelago from the evidence in lacustrine deposits. This article describes the first results on the lakes and their chemistry.
