Neural Mechanism in Induction of Dioestrus and Tumour in the Androgen Sterile Rat

Abstract

THERE is accumulating evidence of a connexion between hormone imbalance and tumorigenesis. A gonadotropin imbalance in the endocrine environment has been related to the development of granulosa cell tumours of the ovary1, and to the induction of mammary gland tumour in mice in which prolactin release is a feature of the experimental hormonal environment2.
