Abstract
LASER action in acetonitrile solution has now been reported for a number of salts of europium tetrakis benzoyltrifluoroacetonate (Eu(BTFA)4)− at room temperatures1–3. This communication presents the results of a spectroscopic investigation of several Eu(BTFA)−4 salts at room temperature in solvents of low polarity. Correlations between the spectra and the nature of the cation are also considered.
