Abstract
IN 1963 Partridge, Elsden and Thomas1 reported the isolation of two new amino-acids named desmosino and isodesmosine from bovine ligamentum nuchae elastin. Since then the presence of these amino-acids has been demonstrated in elastins from various sources2.
