Abstract
LABELLING of organic compounds and bio-molecules with tritium is of great importance in biochemistry. In general, the method of choice may be radiochemical synthesis1, the gas exposure labelling of Wilzbach2–4, or biochemical synthesis or different types of exchange reactions1. However, for the labelling of certain bio-molecules in radiochemically pure form, without any destruction of the natural constitution, only biochemical synthesis could be expected to be successful.
