Abstract
IN two earlier communications1,2 it has been shown that the means of the first excited singlet state 1Lb and first excited triplet state 3La of some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons obey the equation: where I denotes the ionization potential of the molecule. The designation of the states is due to Platt3.
