Abstract
IN this report, observations of ultrastruetural organization of neurosecretory elements of the neurointermediate lobe in two types of the Black Sea skates, Raja clavata and Trygon pastinaca, are considered. As was shown in our earlier work with the light microscope1, the axoadenar neurosecretory contacts in these types of skates are well developed and very distinct. In the literature there appears to be only one report2 in which the axoadenar contacts with the adenohypophysis elements in Scyliorhinus caniculus (L) were examined with the electron microscope, and some other work done on teloosts3–5.
