Abstract
X-IRRADIATION (150–900 rads) accelerates the course of intercapillary glomerulosclerosis (IGS), a naturally occurring progressive ageing process in mice, rats and hamsters1. This acceleration effect occurs only in kidney tissue which is directly irradiated and is preceded by a latent period, the duration of which is dependent on age of the animal at exposure.
