Abstract
DURING investigations of the effect of radiation on lipid components of food we have examined the effect of γ-radiation on methyl laurate. There is little information in the literature on the effect of γ-radiation on higher saturated fatty acid esters1. Here we report the constitution of the major product in the fractions of higher boiling point than methyl laurate.
