Abstract
THE separation of Factor VIII activity from fibrinogen is of considerable importance. From the therapeutic point of view it would seem desirable when treating haemophiliacs to use a protein fraction rich in factor VIII activity but as free as possible from other contaminating proteins, including fibrinogen. From the experimental point of view purified Factor VIII is required for studies of its chemical and physical properties.
