Abstract
WHILE extensive investigations have been reported on the action of ultra-violet light on various carbohydrates and related compounds1,2, no comparable examination has been made on the related group of compounds, the inositols. Reported here is a preliminary study carried out on the effect of ultra-violet light on aqueous solutions of myo-inositol in oxygen.
