Hexosamines in the Seeds of Higher Plants (Spermatophytes)

Abstract

AMINO-SUGARS, important constituents of various mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins, are widespread in Nature. Their occurrence, chemistry and biological role have formed the subject of several reviews in the past twenty years1.
