Abstract

THE efficient separation of the higher fatty acids on polyester substrates1–3, particularly with the addition of phosphoric acid, has been established for some time. The quantitative aspects of such analyses have not, however, been stressed, since in addition to association affecting the response of thermal conductivity detectors, adsorption of various types in the column may occur4.
