Abstract
HITHERTO no method has been reported for the histochemical demonstration of cytochrome c in tissue sections. It has recently been shown, however, that cytochrome c behaves like a ‘true’ peroxidase at low pH. in a pyrogallolhydrogen peroxide system1. In this communication a method is described based on the peroxidatic activity of cytochrome c.
