Thermodynamically Bound Water of Cotton Cellulose, Silk Fibroin, Wool Keratin and Insulin

Abstract

A SIMPLE method has been developed for measuring the bound water of solid natural polymers. In addition the upper 50 per cent of the total amount sorbed, a region that has been difficult to investigate1, has now become readily accessible to experiment.
