Abstract
DURING the taxonomic examination of the Bolbitiaceae it has been necessary, in order to carry out mating determinations, to germinate the basidiospores of numerous collections. The source of the spores has included not only fresh spore prints but also spores from dried fruit bodies and from spore prints accompanying herbarium material.
