Polarographic Determination of Fural

Abstract

A NUMBER of chemical and physico-chemical methods for the determination of fural have been devised. The most commonly used are gravimetric determination with phloroglucine1, photometric determination with aniline2 and with orcine3, etc. Polarographic determination based on reduction of the aldehydic group present has also been described4.
