Abstract
EXPERIMENTS performed in the past few years on nuclear radiation effects on oxidic semiconductors1–5 have shown that their electrical conductivity is strongly influenced by irradiation. The results so far reported refer mainly to oxidic semiconductors with relatively large initial charge carrier concentration. In order to obtain further information about radiation effects on oxidic semiconductors with small initial charge carrier concentration, we chose for our experiments pure chromic oxide (Cr2O3), known as a p-type semiconductor with small hole concentration at ordinary temperatures.
