Abstract
AN in vitro assay which could be adapted to a routine determination of some physiological effect of insulin would be useful in a search for new compounds having insulin-like activity. These preliminary investigations were designed to determine whether insulin would influence the turnover of carbon-14 labelled HeLa cells.
