Abstract
IT has been shown by a number of authors that the administration of methionine sulphoximine (MSI) to experimental animals produces convulsions similar to epileptic seizures. Many metabolic disturbances occurred in the tissue of the brain under these conditions1,2, one of these being the inhibition of 35S-methionine incorporation into brain proteins in vivo3–5. However, the exact mode of action of MSI remains, so far, unknown.
