Abstract
THE Δ1 dehydrogenation of 12α-fluoro,llβ-hydroxytestosterone by C. simplex is an extremely fast reaction. Peak conversion to product may occur within 1 hr. after addition of the substrate. Furthermore, the product is quickly degraded after the reaction is completed. A reaction of this type requires a rapid method of determining harvest time.
