Abstract
IN a previous publication, we described the isolation of microsomal cytochrome b5 from hog adrenal microsomes1. Recently, Spiro and Ball published a detailed report on the respiratory enzymes and cytochrome patterns of bovine adrenals in which cortex and medulla were dealt with separately2,3. These authors, however, found no evidence for the occurrence of cytochrome b5 in bovine adrenal glands. In order to elucidate this discrepancy, it was desirable to gather further information on adrenal cytochromes.
