Abstract
WE have reported from this laboratory a method for the isolation of crude gastrin from hog antral mucosa1. Now, more fully described3, this (slightly modified) method has given us gastrin from bovine abomasal mucosa. The latter was of interest because we were able to obtain an active secretory stimulant, not only from the antral region, but also in several preparations from the fundal mucosa.
