Abstract

SEVERAL attempts have been made to propagate leukæmogenic agents in tissue culture. Gross's passage A1, Friend's2,3 and Moloney's4,5 viruses have been grown, with varying success. Graffi's agent failed to yield positive results, so far as we know6. Werder and associates reported “successful attempts … to transfer … filterable agents … in tissue culture”, but no details were given7.
